How to Find Your Social Security Disability Benefits

How to Find Your Social Security Disability Benefits

January 7, 2014

Learn how to find out if you qualify to get social security disability benefits

In December 2012, the Social Security Administration released a list of 35 conditions that will now be part of the “Compassionate Allowances” initiative.  This initiative provides a fast track to receiving Social Security Disability benefits.  Instead of waiting months or years for the Administration to make a decision on whether a person qualifies for benefits, many people with the conditions in this list may receive an expedited decision.  The Social Security Administration now has over 200 conditions on their allowances list.

Having one of these conditions will not guarantee that you qualify for the Compassionate Allowances program. Please contact one of our attorneys to find out if you qualify.  You can find the entire list of Social Security Disability Benefits and Compassionate Allowances at http://www.socialsecurity.gov/compassionateallowances/conditions.htm
