The Green Apple Pantry is a donation based organization with a mission to help those within the Grand Rapids community. This organization provides groceries and supplies to those who are need of food assistance. Other than needing a little help, there is no requirement to be served at The Green Apple Pantry!
The Green Apple Pantry is powered solely by volunteers who dedicate their time and resources to helping those within their community. On any given day there are an average of 10-20 volunteers in the building working together in order to keep this organization going. While they do have a dedicated team of people, the pantry is always looking for volunteers!
Last year, The Green Apple Pantry processed over 450,000 pounds of food to be able to support Grand Rapids’ families. Families are able to visit the pantry every four weeks to receive supplies. Which means very little food goes to waste. Relying solely on donations, The Green Apple Pantry is extremely grateful for all those that have stepped up to help support their mission.
