Background

Ed joined The Sam Bernstein Law Firm in 1985.

Ed was granted a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and History from Marygrove College in 1980. He received his Juris Doctorate from the Detroit College of Law in 1983. Ed always wanted to be a trial attorney because he enjoys argument and debate, along with helping others with serious problems that they are not able to handle.

Ed has been a member of the American Association of Justice and the Michigan Association of Justice, where he served as a board member, for over 36 years. He has been an independent arbitrator and a member of the Mediation Tribunal Association for most of his career. Hi career since 1983 has been exclusively as a Plaintiff’s personal injury trial attorney. Qualifying him for membership in the American Board of Trial Advocacy with the rand of Advocate.

Along with his wife, Ann, Ed has raised four children. Both he and his wife were involved as board members and fundraisers at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish School, Mercy High School and the University of Detroit Jesuit High School over the years. Ed and Ann both enjoy golf, exercise and love to travel whenever they get the opportunity.
