BACKGROUND

Leonard has retired from active practice, but he remains Of Counsel with The Sam Bernstein Law Firm. He originally joined the firm in 2003.

Leonard became an attorney to fight for the rights of injured people. Leonard attended Michigan State University, as well as, the Michigan State University of London, England. He graduated from the University of Detroit School of Law in 1983.

Leonard is admitted to all Michigan courts, as well as, Federal District Courts including Eastern and Western Michigan and the U.S. Supreme Court. He is a sitting member of the Michigan Attorney Grievance Commission hearing panels and is a court appointed expert on the practice of law in Michigan. Additionally, Leonard sits as a case evaluator in Wayne and Macomb counties.

When he’s not working, Leonard prefers to be on a boat. He also enjoys golf, traveling and has always owned several pets including both dogs and cats. He is a father to two grown sons who live out of state and enjoys to both cooking food and eating out.
