BACKGROUND

Mike joined The Sam Bernstein Law Firm in 1982.

Mike chose the legal profession simply because he wanted to help people. He graduated from Marygrove College in Detroit with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1975. He received his Juris Doctorate from the Detroit College of Law, now known as Michigan State College of Law, in 1978.

For the past 42 years, Mike has exclusively practiced in the plaintiff’s personal injury area of law. He is a member of the State Bars of Michigan, Ohio and Illinois. He is also a proud member of the American Association of Justice and the Michigan Association of Justice. Mike has been a hearing panelist for the Attorney Grievance Commission since 1995 and currently serves as Chairperson of an Oakland County panel.

Mike is a proud father of four talented and strong-willed daughters. Additionally, Mike holds the proud title of “Papa” to nine wonderful and busy grandchildren.

Mark helps educate future lawyers and leaders. He has lectured at the University of Michigan Law School and the University of Michigan College of Literature, Science & the Arts on tort and civil rights law.
