BACKGROUND
Maro joined The Sam Bernstein Law Firm in 2026.
Maro earned her bachelor’s degree from Grand Valley State University in 2010 and her Juris Doctorate from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law in 2013. She began her legal career as a prosecutor, where she spent years in the courtroom learning how to build a case, question a witness and stand in front of a jury when the stakes were highest.
That experience shapes how Maro represents injured people today. Having brought her trial skills to the civil side of the law, she knows how the other side prepares a file—and she uses that insight to protect her clients’ best interests at every stage of a case. Maro pairs that courtroom grit with genuine compassion, because she understands that behind every claim is a person trying to recover and a family trying to move forward. She makes a point of explaining the process in plain language, so her clients always know where their case stands and what comes next.
Outside of work, Maro’s favorite place to be is at home with her husband, their three children and their two dogs. She’s also an avid baker, and her family is happy to volunteer as taste testers.
