Children's Literacy Network

Children's Literacy Network (CLN) is a non-profit organization who's history can be traced back as far as 1991. Starting from humble roots, CLN began with a garage full of books and a goal of encouraging young parents to read to their children in order to solidify a foundation of language and literacy. They continued as a book-giving type of organization until 2016, when they began to work strategically in order to provide services through connected programs in communities and schools.

COTS has been helping the city of Detroit since 1982. This non-profit organization was founded to create opportunities for families to collaborate, thrive, and succeed in building strong and stable households, neighborhoods, and communities.

Holland Aquatic Center

Holland Aquatic Center was formed in 1968, with a mission to empower people to live healthier, more connected lives through a fun community space. This non-profit organization provides swimming, diving, fitness and recreation programs for people of all ages. Their accessible environment allows for families and individuals to invest in their health and meet others within their community.

Clark Park Coalition

Clark Park Coalition was formed in 1992 with a mission to provide an array of diverse, high-quality recreational, educational, social and mentoring programs for southwest Detroit families. This non-profit organization, in partnership with the City of Detroit's Recreation Department, helps to develop life-long skills in the community's youth through various year-round programs such as: hockey, soccer, baseball, tennis, football, and many more!

New Hope Center

New Hope Center is a non-profit organization with a mission to bring hope, healing and new beginnings to all of those impacted by the death of a loved one throughout Michigan communities. They do this through the organization and hosting of programs, support groups, and various other events that support everyone from children to adults that may be grieving the loss of a loved one.

Pawsitive Changes Therapy Dogs

Pawsitive Changes is a non-profit organization with a goal to relieve anxiety and provide moral and emotional support to all ages throughout the local communities of Michigan. These volunteers travel to various homes, shelters, hospitals and care facilities with their personal pets in order to bring joy and smiles to those who need it the most.

Dragonflyers of Michigan

Dragonflyers of Michigan is a non-profit organization with the goal of advancing the sport of dragon boat racing while also trying to create an established dragon boat racing community. Through the support of physical activity and charitable work, they are increasing the popularity of dragon boat racing each day!

Project Bike Tech

Project Bike Tech is a national non-profit organization whose program has partnered with Kearsely High School in Flint, MI. They are the only high school which currently offers the program in the state. Project Bike Tech offers students the ability to learn a new set of skills by rebuilding and repairing bicycles.

The Just Ask Foundation

The Just Ask Foundation is an organization that assists those in need in finding the resources and services they require in order to be able to live a healthy and fulfilling life. From the disabled to the elderly and everyone in between, all they need to do is pick up the phone and call the Just Ask Foundation's 24-hour hotline.

Michigan Foster Care Closet

The Michigan Foster Care Closet is a local organization that provides clothing, accessories, toys and many other items to children and parents in the foster care community. They provide the necessary items it takes to raise a child in foster of any age.

Hand of Hope - FLM

Hand of Hope - FLM is dedicated to helping disadvantaged youth reach their full potential in Flint, MI. This organization was born out of the COVID pandemic when they noticed that on-top of the lead water crisis, students who were already academically challenged were going to suffer far greater than most other communities.

LSO Dance Foundation

The LSO Dance Foundation is a arts-based organization with a mission to transform the lives of young Detroiters through the art of Dance. This organization breaks down the barriers and helps build bridges for low-income, at-risk and minority youth so they can have access to the art of dance.

Au-Some City 313

Au-Some City 313 is a Detroit-based non-profit created for youth and adults with autism. This amazing organization provides social and recreational activities within (or close to) Detroit. Their goal is to promote the development of those with autism and other special needs within a safe and sensory-friendly atmosphere.

The Detroit Public Safety Foundation is a 501c3 Michigan charity. They have been operating since 2003 helping service Detroit police, fire and ems first-responders. They help these organizations by providing items that the City of Detroit budget cannot afford.

Knit Michigan

Knit Michigan is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was founded in 2007 and has been dedicated to supporting cancer patients and their families as they endure tough times through cancer treatment. The make, collect and donate comfort items such as chemo caps, knitted knockers and lap blankets to help ease cancer patients around Michigan.

Temble Beth El Braille Bindery

Since 1960, Temple Beth El Braille Bindery has been taking some of the most beloved and popular children's books, transcribe them into braille, then emboss and bind them before shipping them out to children who are blind and low vision across the county.
