Paralegal
Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented paralegal to support our legal team. Responsibilities include conducting legal research, drafting documents, managing case files, and assisting attorneys in trial preparation. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, proficiency in legal software, and the ability to communicate effectively. A degree in paralegal studies or a related field is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Case Management: Organize and maintain case files. Prepare case summaries and legal arguments. Conduct legal research.
- Document Preparation: Draft and proofread legal documents. Prepare and file court documents. Assist with trial exhibits and witness lists.
- Client Communication: Communicate with clients and schedule meetings. Maintain client confidentiality.
- Administrative Support: Schedule meetings, hearings, and legal proceedings. Manage attorney calendars and deadlines. Perform general administrative tasks.
- Research and Investigation: Conduct investigations and interview witnesses. Analyze and summarize relevant documents.
Qualifications and Skills
- Associate’s degree in paralegal studies or related field; bachelor’s preferred.
- Previous experience as a paralegal or legal assistant, ideally in a similar setting.
- Experience with legal research, document drafting, and case management.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
