Matthew joined The Same Bernstein Law Firm in 2009.
Growing up, Matthew wanted to be an attorney who could advocate for people facing injustice. He began his legal journey in 2008 at Wayne State University Law School in Detroit, Michigan. While attending law school, Matthew worked as a judicial intern to the Chief Justice of the Michigan Supreme Court, and later, for a senior judge at the United States District Court, Eastern District of Michigan.
Matthew has received numerous honors and awards from respected publications including Michigan Lawyer’s Weekly, The National Trial Lawyers and Super Lawyers, where he has been selected as a Michigan Rising Star every year since 2015. He was first elected by his peers to the State Bar Representative Assembly and is now serving his third term as a member. In 2019, Matthew was appointed by the Michigan Supreme Court to the 21-member panel of attorneys and judges that serve on the Committee on Model Civil Jury Instructions for the State of Michigan.
Outside of the office, Matthew enjoys traveling, reading and spending his free time with family and friends. Matthew and his wife, Jennifer, are life-long residents of Michigan and currently live in the City of Troy.
