Joseph Ceglarek II (“Joe”) has nearly 20 years of experience in personal injury litigation. Originally from Chicago, Joe graduated cum laude from Grand Valley State University with a political science major and a communications minor. An athlete and sports aficionado, Joe was active in sports in both high school and undergraduate school, and coached both basketball and football while attending college. He won the political science award of his graduating class at Grand Valley. After college, Joe attended law school at John Marshall Law School in Chicago and graduated in 1996.
As a youngster, Joe always liked helping people. Joe’s beloved Uncle Frank, a businessman, identified his compassion, persuasive and analytical skills, and talent for written and verbal communication, and encouraged Joe to become a lawyer at a young age. An experienced athlete and coach, Joe also considered becoming a teacher, but felt that he could touch more people’s lives as a lawyer. His impetus and motivation continues to be using his talents to help people who can’t help themselves.
Joe likes the fact that the family values of The Sam Bernstein Law Firm extends not only to staff, but to the clients as well. He comments that everyone in the firm cares about the clients, and not just the bottom line. The Bernsteins share his belief in helping people and giving a voice to those who would normally go unheard.
The father of five children, Joe has coached baseball, softball, basketball, hockey, and football. He is a fan of the Chicago Cubs, Bears, and Black Haws, as well as all University of Notre Dame sports. Joe enjoys attending his children’s sports events and golfing. He is a member of St. Hubert’s Parish.
