BACKGROUND

Attorney Claire Vergara joined The Sam Bernstein Law Firm in 2024.

Claire went into undergraduate with the intention of going to medical school. At Michigan, she became politically engaged and worked in grassroots organizing, which sparked her love for law. Personal injury was the perfect intersection to blend her interest in medicine and the law.  Claire became a lawyer to advocate for the catastrophically injured and underrepresented, but also to be an example for those in the APIA (Asian Pacific Islander American) community.

Claire is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and Michigan Association for Justice. She is licensed to practice in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan. Claire is currently serving as the President of the Michigan Asian Pacific American Bar Association and member of the Oakland County Bar Association.

In her spare time, Claire enjoys spending time with her husband, their growing family, and friends. She is an avid traveler and foodie. Claire also loves to go on long distance bike rides, play tennis, snowboard, and root for Michigan and Detroit sports!
